The Val Cavallina, is one of the most beautiful Bergamo valleys, in addition to the Thermal Baths of Trescore it hosts a number of interesting landscape and cultural locations. Lake Endine represents one of its most enchanting naturalistic views: a mirror of light nestled between the Orobic Prealps with a characteristic green colour that reflects the surrounding vegetation.
It is about 5 km long and from 100 to 700 m wide, fed by the waters of the Cherio River which then flows into the plain to go to the Oglio. The first lake in Lombardy to ban motor boats, it has kept its waters clean and unpolluted, while the coast alternates suggestive beaches with thick reeds of swamp. It is possible to rent rowboats and pedal boats, while the coast is home to numerous restaurants offering typical menus of the area.
For those who love trekking, ancient mule tracks from Endine Gaiano and from the right bank go up to Ranzanico and from here to Bianzano. One must visit the churches rich with works of art of the small coastal villages.
